Iron Oaks features two public golf courses -- Ironwood Golf Course and Oakwood Golf Course. Both are located in a gated community, giving the courses a private club feel.

Oakwood comprises three distinct 9-hole courses--The Palms (a park-style course), The Sonoran, and The Lakes (a traditional links-style course). When combined with another course (Palms-Sonoran, Sonoran-Lakes, Lakes-Palms), Oakwood plays as a 6,500-yard par 72 from the back tees. Played separately, each course plays as a standalone Par-36 short course
